The Victoria Quartet began life in 2017 in a swimming pool, with a gala concert for the historic Victoria Baths in Manchester’s Hathersage Road. They have moved on from pools to concert platforms across the UK, most recently at the Bridgewater Hall, RNCM and Stoller hall in Manchester and return visits to festivals such as Buxton, Lake Dustrict and Pinner. They have a strong connection with North Norfolk and Marchmont estate in the Scottish Borders where they have recently completed a residency, recording a CD of music by Helen Leach.
The quartet are widely know for their collaborations, most recently with clarinettist, John Bradbury, oboist Richard Simpson and Double bassist, Leon Bosch. The Victoria String Quartet are delighted to be returning to Sandbach and are looking forward to hearing the young musicians again.
