George King is known as one of the most gifted and versatile Pianist/Composers working today. He has performed at some of the worlds most prestigious venues including The Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Centre, The Southbank Centre, The Alhambra Theatre in Paris, The Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. He has also performed at The Glastonbury Festival, The Philadelphia Jazz Festival and other Festivals in the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
As a Composer George has had his works performed and broadcast in Europe, The USA and The Far East. He has also been awarded many different prizes for his works including The IBLA Grand Prize (Italy) , The Barto Prize (USA) and The Gunther Bialas Prize (Germany).
As a Pianist George continues to play with many different groups and has recorded with a wide variety of Artists including Jah Wobble (“7” on 30 Hertz Records), The Piano works of Edwin Roxburgh (NMC), Jon Thorne/Danny Thompson (Watching the Well on Naim Records) and Joanna Macgregor/Nitin Sawhney (Neurial Circuits on the Sound Circus Label). Over the next year George will be giving Classical Piano Recitals as well as playing in many different Jazz Festivals (including the London Jazz Festival).
